Apple’s keyboard isn’t magic. It’s not writing this review for me while I sip a margarita and play Two Dots, and I feel like that would be magic. What the Magic Keyboard is, is a pretty nice. The Magic Keyboard costs $349, and the Apple Pencil (2nd generation) costs $129. Check out our iPad deals page for the latest sales and discounts. IPad Pro 2020 review: Design. Like Apple's Smart Keyboard (which doesn't have a trackpad), the Magic Keyboard snaps onto your iPad magnetically. The tablet hangs off at an adjustable angle, floating a bit in midair. The keyboard is water-resistant, which has come in handy for me once. The folio protects the front and back of the iPad. It looks really good with the iPad, you can tell that Apple put lots of time into making it look nice combined with the iPad. The color is charcoal-gray, not black as it might look in the picture. The Smart Keyboard feels more like a proper keyboard than touch-style ones. It’s almost as quiet as them too, which is great if, like me, you’re not a fan of clacking keys.
